hello chris`s test

Daily life

The other day Noelle, Vienna and Treava all had friends over so we decided to go to the la gancha to jugar soccer. The girls soccer skills have improved tremendously here. THE LOCAL kids have amazing footwork. Often they play in their bare feet on dirt fields with lots of glass and what not. Yet no one ever gets hurt. After an hour of play with 20 local kids joining in I was exhausted.
On the walk home a young man of 20 walked with us. He was from a different barrio (city). I comprehended 75 % of what he said. Ya hoo! I`m finally understanding and speaking enough to not be totally dependent on my daughters. Although the other night a person knocked on the door and I answered with Treava at my side . The man asked something and I responded lo siento no comprendo and treava said 2mOM HE WANTS TO KNOW IT YOU WILL GIVE HIM 15 CENTS. so even treava`s comprehension surpasses mine.
Anyhow the young man asked if he could bring us fruit from his finca (farm). We parted ways and continued on our way home to be called by a group of kids to come. THEIR FAMILY WANTED TO PRESENT US WITH A GIFT of oranges without seeds that are very sweet. We graciously accepted and chatted. then we continuedd on. Next we were stopped by a woman who invited us into her home. she gave us platinos. our arms and hearts were loaded as we left for our house. This is a daily occurance for us. or people stop and knock on our door offering gifts. we try to keep track and then Noelle bakes banana bread and we take a gift to them Maybe the word is out on how delicious Noelle`s bread is. true but the hearts of these people are amaxzing as so many have so little.

Treava`s fall had me experiencing nightmares for 3 days. I misunderstood and thought they were giving her a mild sedative. When they went to take here into the operating room both Treava and I protested. Karla`s (the el salvadorian who lived with us in alaksa) sister WENT AND TALKED TO HER BROTHER-IN-LAW and said you need to let her go in with her. So before I knew what was happening I was suited up and Treava and I were in the surgery room. All I can say is god was looking out for us.
We were so lucky to be with Iris and raul when it happened as Rauls brother is a plastic surgeon. I really do believe that out of bad comes good and god looks out for us. So god was looking out for us when we were at Rauls. But then the gift in all of it was we had to go see rauls brother 3 times. Raul`s relationship with his brother had been estranged since his mothers death 3 years ago. On our last visit Raul and his brother spent one and a half hours tàlking and crying together and healing their wounds. When Raul told me this I cried seeing the connections in the world.
There are so many gifts here i could go on for hours but my family is hungry. Fijole sopa for dinner. lisa
