Hey everyone, hows it going in Alaska? Here its hazed over and hot-not very enjoyable! Today we got to ride horses and gallop up and down the beach, it was awesome!!!
At the farm nothing that new has happened. We got to listen to a guest speaker about Perma culture and he was really good! We switched to pigs this week and all we did was muck out their stalls and give them food. On friday Vienna and I went to work with one of the workers, Carlos and I got attacked by close to 500 ticks! Luckily I was fast and jumped in the shower before many attached... but it was terrifying!
I´v got to go and I hope you enjoyed the photos!"!! Miss you all
Noelle

Hello everybody!!! It's Marina!!! It was so cool to read your blog. It sounds like you guys are having lots of fun! It's good to hear that you are riding horses. (good practice if you are going to get one!) The part about the ticks sounds gross. I couldn't imagine those things sucking my blood! A long time ago my hamster had one attached to her. (we got it out) It sounds really painful. All the pictures are nice. I liked the ones of you guys riding horses and also the one of Treava with facial mud on her face!!! Well have lots of fun! love you all!

Hello All
Its Jacky here. I am glad Marina sent in a comment. What an awesome girl she is!
We are happy to read your adventures and to imagine it all. My Gosh those tics sound horrible! On your eyelids Lisa!... Ugh!!
I can understand you missing Thanks giving and the USA, We are so lucky to live In Alaska aren't we? Especially when you see how the rest of the world has to cope without the things we take for granted.
Our Thanskgving was wonderful. We spent it with 4 other families that we love dearly. Having just returned from my trip to Vietnam I was VERY happy to be with my family and VERY grateful to be back in clean air with no pollution, no traffic sounds, and no crowds of people crushing down on me. It was all a bit much over there!! I did not get too far off the beaten track though, and played it safe in towns and cities. Had I been more willing to go off on my own into villages I would have had a different experience, I am sure. The Vietnamese people were some of the nicest I have ever met.
The last four days with no school have been great to just be here with Ken and the kids working on projects. There has been a huge wind and rain storm raging for days so we have been inside listening to things flying around outside.
Ken and I were in Banos and Otovalu in 1977. I bet it has changed a lot.
Well I better get off to bed since the alarm is going off tomorrow morning early. Much love to all of you: Lisa, Chris, Noelle, Vienna and Treava. Have fun with those horses and watch out for tics and Kiwis.
Love Jacky
Hi y'all,
Heidi just clued me in to the fact that you're posting to the blog! That's great. I'll make sure to check back more regularly.
Fyi, we had a brief two days of snow, but it's all gone now due to a long spate of 40degF days. Freya wants snow, now, and she's working on two advent calendars in anticipation of Christmas.
Maya is driving around on her own here and there; getting a reality-experience in the price of gas. It's 9:30, and she's still not home from her biology class at the college.
Heidi's great. I'm sufficing.
It's great to read your posts!
Grins and best wishes,
Dan
