the fiesta with TREAVA AS PRINCESSA WAS MUEY DIVERTIDO. The children were all dressed in costumes that were absolutely amazing. THEIR MOTHERS HAD MADE THEM USING CREPE PAPER AND CUTTTING IT MUCH LIKE YOU SEE ON A TRADITIONAL PINATA. tHEN THEY HAD HAND SEWN THE CREPE PAPER ONTO CLOTHES ROW BY ROW. they had made beatiful realistic looking headdresses to. THERE WERE BUMBLEBEES, RABBITS, CHICKENS, FLOWERS, TREESMARIPOSAS AND MORE. tHERE WAS A PARADE THAT WENT DOWN THE MAIN STREET AND ENDED UP AT THE CENTRO STAGE WHERE EACH GROUP PREFORMED. tREAVA´S GROUP WON 1ST PLACE. THEY WERE ALL THRILLED. treava had a great time trying her crown on the boys who all screamed with delight.
WE LIVE IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY YET EACH DAY i´M AWAKEN BY OUR NEIGHBORS CROWING ROOSTER AND COW MOOING TO BE MILKED. it is kept in his little back yard along with ducks and i´m sure more we haven´t seen.
We have running water sometimes. WE STORE WATER IN A PILE PRONOUNCED PEELAY. ABOUT EVERY 3 DAYS WE HEAR DRIPPING WATER AND RUN TO FILL OUR PILE. we do have electricity, well sometimes. it goes off and on with the thunderstorms and who knows what else. we also are extremely affluent here and have a refrigerator and stove plus oven. I COOK ABOUT 4 NIGHTS A WEEK AND THE REST WE EAT PUPUSAS. I´ve learned to love them. THE santizing off fruits and vegatables takes alot of time.
Most mornings I walk to school to which the whole comminty is agast. The views are spectacular and there is usually a cool breeze. ALWAYS i am greeted by something new. AHAVEN OF GIANT SPIDERS, A CATERPILLAR, BABY BILLY GOATS THAT i USHER BCK TO THEIR MAMMA SO THEY DON´T GET HIT AND MANY FRIENDLY FACES.
we have began to venture out of our small community. WE HAVE WENTY TO LA PLYA TWICE. will tell you more on it on my next later. must get home to check on dinner. love lisa

Fall/Winter is in the air here... but not for you. What an adventure you are all having! Hopefully Chris is feeling better by now. I look forward to you sharing your "recipes" when you return. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you...and the lives that you touch each day!
Cheryl
I actually saw a snowflake yesterday. Most leaves have fallen from the trees.
I'm enjoying our honey.
We had dinner with Karla and Linda Sunday, and celebrated Karla's birthday. Practiced a few expressions. Our crew is looking forward to heading south in December.
Keep writing!
Grins,
Dan
